(*1) "rdg" stands for reading.

(*2) Battery life varies depending upon the ambient temperature in which it is used, the recording interval, the frequency of communication, and the battery performance. All estimates are based on operations carried out with a new battery and are in no way a guarantee of actual battery life. When the infrared communication function is enabled, battery life may be shortened further if the unit is used under the inverter type fluorescent lighting.
(*3) This is the waterproof capacity of the data logger with the Input Module connected.

Place Anywhere Compact Waterproof Type

The compact size allows it to be placed almost anywhere. Also, its durable body with waterproof and dust proof capacity makes it possible to be used in harsh environments.

TR-51i:
The internal temperature sensor offers superior waterproof capacity and moderate response time, making the TR-51i suitable for use in transportation and storage, as well as, in harsh environments.

TR-52i:
The external temperature sensor makes the TR-52i highly versatile and ideal for use in situations where a quicker response (compared to TR-51i) is required.

TR-55i:
Depending on the model type, the TR-55i can measure and record temperature, voltage, 4-20mA, or pulse count. The body is water resistant when the Input Module is connected.

Note: Input Module is not water resistant.

Wide Measurement Range
The TR-51i can measure and record temperature from -40 to 80°C and the TR-52i from -60 to 155°C.
Furthermore, the TR-55i provides a wider range of temperature measurement applications: -199 to 1700°C (TR-55i-TC) and -199 to 600°C (TR-55i-Pt).

Large Logging Capacity: Up to 16,000 Readings
One data logger can store up to 16,000 readings. Select from 15 recording intervals (from 1 second to 1 hour) to meet your needs. If set at a 10-minute recording interval, that gives you 111 days of non-stop consecutive recording.

Low Energy Consumption Design for Long Battery Life
The low energy consumption design of the TR-51i and TR-52i provides continuous operation for up to 4 years. When the battery needs to be replaced, the battery replacement mark will appear. If the battery is new and communication takes place four times a month the battery life can be estimated as follows:

TR-51i/52i:

* The battery replacement mark will appear based upon the calculation of battery use. It may appear sooner than noted above.
* Battery life depends upon the measuring environment, recording interval, quality of the battery being used, and infrared communication settings. When the infrared communication function is enabled, battery life may be shortened further if the unit is used under inverter type fluorescent lighting.

TR-55i:

* The battery replacement mark will appear based upon the calculation of battery use. It may appear sooner than noted above.
* When the recording method is set to "average value" for the TR-55i-V or TR-55i-mA, the battery life will be the same as when the recording interval is one second regardless of the actual recording interval.
* Battery life depends upon the measuring environment, recording interval, quality of the battery being used, and infrared communication settings. When infrared communication function is enabled, battery life may be shortened if the unit is used under inverter type fluorescent lighting.

Measurement with a Variety of Sensors (TR-55i)
The TR-55i allows for a variety of commercially available sensors to be connected to the included input module. This new flexibility has expanded the range of possible applications.

Recording Settings Display
Recording mode (One-Time or Endless) and Infrared Communication settings will be displayed in the LCD.

Downloading Data: Infrared Communication / Optical Communication

In order to download recorded data from a TR-51i/52i, it is necessary to separately purchase a data collection device: either a Communication Port or a Data Collector.

Downloading Data via Infrared Communication
TR-57DCi: Data Collector Infrared Communication Type
Downloading data via Infrared Communication means that the TR-51i/52i Logger does not have to be placed on the Data Collector nor does it need to be moved meaning less work and less hassle.

Downloading Data via Optical Communication
TR-51i / 52i
Communication Port: TR-50U2, TR-50U
Data Collector: TR-57DCi, TR-57U
In addition to our Data Collector TR-57DCi, previous data collection devices (TR-50U, TR-57U) can also be used for downloading data via Optical Communication.

TR-55i
Communication Port: TR-50U2, TR-50U
Data Collector: TR-57DCi
TR-55i is not compatible with TR-57U

Checking Collected Data on the Spot (Data Collector)

When using a Data Collector, you can download recorded data from a TR-5i Series data logger, and view the data in graph or list form without connecting to your computer. It is also possible to confirm the occurrence of a warning from the data recorded by a TR-5i Series logger for which the Warning Monitoring Function has been set.

Warning Monitoring Function

Using the supplied software “T&D Recorder for Windows (TR-5, 7xU)”, you can make Upper / Lower Limits and Judgement Time settings for the TR-51i, TR-52i and TR-55i. If a measurement exceeds one of the set limits, the warning LED and message will be displayed. Because the warning LED and message will remain ON until the data is downloaded, there is no way to miss any important warnings.

Adjustment of Measurements

TR-5i Series data loggers (excluding TR-55i-P) feature an Adjustment Function. All settings can be made using the supplied software "T&D Recorder for Windows (TR-5, 7xU)".
