The Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS) is a new technology in weighing designed by Japan's leading manufacturer of weighing equipment, A&D, Co. Ltd.

"Super" because it exceeds all its predecessors in all aspects of performance and accuracy.

"Hybrid" because A&D has taken the best aspects of two technologies and merged them into one. The first is Magnetic Force Restoration Technology that provides extraordinarily high resolution and sensitivity in light capacity weighing. The second is Roverbal, or Single Point Load Cell Technology, which eliminates most of the flexures of the conventional force motor system. Conventional flexures are susceptible to drift due to temperature changes as the different materials are chemically bonded or fastened. SHS has eliminated most of them. SHS has only three flexures instead of the traditional eleven.

All these translates into improved response speed and minimized maintenance costs using the SHS technology. The SHS provides the fastest response speed in its class - JUST 1 SECOND! And if the time ever comes when the SHS needs repair, only one of three parts have to be replaced - there is no need to replace the whole sensor, thus minimizing costs!
